    Overview - Nissan Terrano

    A premium but affordable SUV, much like the Renault Duster, the Nissan Terrano is a compact SUV that is available in eight versions (1 petrol + 7 diesel cars) in the Indian market. It is a bold-looking and spacious entry level SUV that offers dynamic performance. Introduced under the Renault-Nissan alliance in 2013, in India, this SUV has gained a lot of brownie points in its segment thanks to its modern look and practicality. It is available in six vibrant colors, namely, bronze grey, pearl white, blade silver, sapphire black, sterling grey and fire red. All in all, it’s a robust car from the Nissan house and very perfect for the bumpy Indian roads.
    Available in three engine options, the 1.6 petrol version offers max power of 104 PS and max torque of 145 Nm. Overall, the engine provides a sturdy performance and offers a good pickup, which is quite impressive. The transmission options are 5 & 6 speed manual. It is not wrong to say that it shares an engine line-up with the robust Duster.
    Nissan Terrano offers great on-road and off-road performance. The six-speed manual transmission gearbox impresses by its gear shift quality, which is smooth and easy-to-operate. It gives a lot of flexibility to the engine while driving on a highway. A comfortable car especially for the Indian roads where the rides could go bumpy, Terrano offers cushion with its absorbent suspension. The braking system is strong too.
    Although look-wise it is quite similar to the Duster, the Nissan Terrano comes with the signature V chrome grille and revised bumpers. There are several other exterior changes that make this car a good-looking SUV. With Nissan Terrano, you get a bold exterior and a spacious interior with a sleek chrome-finished steering wheel. Overall, it is a class-apart car in look and feel.
    The beige cabin is roomy and bright. The boxy shape ensures good amount of storage, the head room is generous and the leg room is pretty comfortable. For additional comfort, the Nissan Terrano comes with a separate AC vent in the back, which takes the comfort to an all new level. Overall, the car scores high on the comfort parameter. This SUV comes with a gamut of safety features, namely, central locking, driver seat belt reminder, driver airbags, and engine immobilizer.
    You can derive a mileage of 13.2kmpl from the petrol version whereas 110 PS diesel returns 19.01kmpl and 85 PS deliver 20.45kmpl. Diesel is the right choice if you are looking for a fuel-efficient SUV.
    The petrol version is priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (Ex­showroom, Mumbai) and base model of diesel version is also priced at Rs. 9.99 lakh (Ex­showroom, Mumbai). Bing a competitor to Duster, this SUV is more expensive but a perfect fit if you are looking for an upmarket car that roomy interiors and great drive quality.
