The Volkswagen Group in India mothers brands like SKODA, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche and Lamborghini.Volkswagen first came into the Indian Markets along with Audi in 2007. The engineering plants are situated in Pune whereas the manufacturing happens in Aurangabad. The Volkswagen Passat was the first vehicle by Volkswagen to be launched in India, after its global acclaim, after which Jetta was brought in, in 2008. In 2009, the New Beetle and the Touareg were launched. In 2010, the Polo and Vento were launched and soon after a modified version of the Passat was launched in 2011.The Jetta TDI came in in 2011 followed by the new generation Touareg. The Polo GT TSI was launched in 2013. With the advent of new vehicles in the Indian markets, the automobile industry was left with a pleasant surprise almost every year. The credibility of the Volkswagen is of no question and with the National Group Sales office in Mumbai, which holds a strength of 300 employees. Around 5000 employees work at different locations all over India, over 3500 employees work at the Pune plant and close to 1000 employees are stationed at the Aurangabad plant.With unshaken credibility and love from all over the globe, Volkswagen receives so much more than just that from India.
