Toyota Innova Crysta may be launched by November 24

Since 2016, the Innova Crysta has been the go-to choice for those looking to maneuver around during a premium MPV that gives bulletproof reliability and a simple ownership experience. And it’s now due an update. The facelifted version of the MPV has already been revealed for the Indonesian market and that we expect similar updates on the Indian model, which is predicted to launch on November 24.

Toyota has added multi-array LED headlamps to the Innova Crysta with this update, along side a replacement front grille, a resculpted bumper and a replacement alloy wheel design. While we expect most of those updates to be carried over to the Indian version, Toyota could prefer to offer a special alloy wheel design for our market as compared to the Indonesia-spec model.

On the within , the changes are even more subtle. The touchscreen infotainment system has been updated to a 9-inch unit, which is predicted to supply Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along side some sort of connected car tech. aside from that, the dials within the instrument cluster have also been updated. The cabin also features a replacement all-black color scheme , although Toyota could offer it during a lighter shade for the Indian market, to offer the cabin an airy ambiance. Toyota could also prefer to add an air purifier, which can be built into the climate control unit itself.

The powertrain options are expected to stay an equivalent , with a 2.4-litre diesel and a 2.7-litre petrol engine. The petrol engine is sweet for 166PS and 245Nm whereas the gruntier diesel can dish out 150PS and 343Nm. Both engines are often specced with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic drive .

The Indonesian version of the facelifted model scored a 5-star overall safety rating when crash tested by ASEAN NCAP. We expect the India spec car to supply similar crash protection.

As far because the price cares , the current-gen Innova Crysta sells anywhere between Rs 15.66 lakh to Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). We expect Toyota to cost the facelifted version at a premium of Rs 50,000 over the present price. The Innova Crysta may be a one among a sort offering in its price band, with no real rivals within the Indian market. It does compete with 7-seater SUVs just like the MG Hector and therefore the upcoming Tata Hexa BS6 and Gravitas.
