Tata Motors introduced India’s most affordable long-range electric vehicle, the Nexon EV, in January 2020. it’s now announced that the electrical SUV has crossed the two ,000-unit sales mark in 10 months since its launch. As per Tata, the Nexon EV’s sales figure stood at 2,200 units in November 2020, with 1,000 units being sold within the last three months (September to November) alone.
The carmaker has also introduced an e-mobility ecosystem termed ‘Tata uniEVerse’ to supply charging solutions, new retail experiences and financing options. you’ll have the electrified Nexon in three variants: XM, XZ+ and XZ+ LUX. The Nexon EV is predicated on the facelifted Nexon, hence, both share quite few features including the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, and auto AC. Both get an equivalent standard safety features also including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
The Nexon EV is powered by an electrical motor that has an output rating of 129PS and 245Nm. It gets two driving modes: Drive and Sport. Tata claims a variety of 312km on a full charge of the 30.2kWh battery. As per the carmaker, the battery are often charged from empty to 80 percent in only 1 hour at DC fast-charging stations.
