While various details including the variants and engine options of the Nissan Magnite are officially revealed, the carmaker is yet to announce its prices. we’ve now learnt that it might be launched on November 26. Select dealerships have even started accepting unofficial pre-launch bookings for Rs 11,000.
Nissan will offer the SUV in five variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium, and XV Premium (O). it’ll be offered with LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, auto AC, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 360-degree camera. Nissan also will offer a Tech Pack which adds features like a wireless charging pad, air purifier, ambient lighting, puddle lights and a JBL audio system which will be available from the XV variant onwards with all engine options. Safety features will include dual front airbags, hill assist, and traction control
It will be a petrol-only offering. Nissan will offer it with either a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated or a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The naturally aspirated unit (72PS/96Nm), an equivalent one offered within the Renault Triber, will only accompany a 5-speed manual while the new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will get the selection of a 5-speed manual also as a CVT. While the precise output figures are yet unknown, the turbo-petrol engine is predicted to supply 100PS/152Nm while the Triber’s 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit should develop an equivalent output of 72PS and 96Nm within the Magnite
Nissan’s SUV will combat the Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, and therefore the upcoming Renault Kiger.
