Exterior:


Since it’s a facelift, the changes are mild in nature. Upfront, it gets a redesigned front grille finished in gloss black with a thick chrome surround at the lower end. it’s flanked by slightly updated LED headlamps which get a chrome extension running into the front grille. The new bumper now features vertically-stacked turn indicators and new circular fog lamps which are placed much closer to the front skid plate.

The side and rear profiles remain unchanged apart from a replacement set of dual-tone alloy wheels.

Interior:


The cabin layout has remained unchanged. the sole visible change is that the introduction of a darker shade of faux wood insert on the dashboard and wheel . While the pre-facelift model was offered with two different leather upholstery colour options — Hazel Brown and Ivory — the updated Innova Crysta has three colour options: Hazel Brown, Black and Camel Tan.

With the facelift, the Innova Crysta gets new features sort of a bigger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and front parking sensors. the remainder of the feature list remains unchanged with up to 7 airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill launch assist, control , tilt and telescopic steering, auto AC with rear AC vents, 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and ambient lighting.

Variants:

While the pre-facelift Innova Crysta was offered in five variants: G, G+, GX, VX and ZX, the Innova Crysta Facelift is obtainable in three variants: GX, VX and ZX. That said, Toyota remains selling the G and G+ variants within the pre-facelift avatar exclusively to fleet operators.

Engines:

Things have remained untouched under the bonnet because it gets an equivalent set of petrol and diesel engines as before. The petrol engine on offer may be a 2.7-litre unit making 166PS of power and 245Nm of peak torque. The diesel , on the opposite hand, is a 2.4-litre unit making 150PS of power and 343Nm of peak torque (360Nm with automatic). Both the engines are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed converter automatic.
