The sub-4m SUV segment got a touch more crowded in December with the launch of the Nissan Magnite. It continues to be a well-liked segment with a couple of models enjoying maximum sales. While Diwali 2020 saw carmakers roll out various offers on their models, demand for sub-4m SUVs took a downturn in sales compared to the last month. Last month’s best selling SUV, the Maruti Vitara Brezza, lost a piece of its demand with a 35 percent drop by month-on-month sales figures. As a result, it fell behind the Korean rivals once more to become the third best selling sub-4m SUV in November. Its YoY (year-on-year) figure dipped the utmost , nearly 21 percent.
The Kia Sonet has retaken the crown to become the foremost preferred model in November 2020 with over 11,400 units sold.
