Toyota has unveiled the facelifted Camry Hybrid within the European market. It features updated exterior, a revised interior and a couple of new safety features. The Camry is predicted to hit the Indian market in early next year, probably in Q1 2021.
Since it’s a facelift, the aesthetic updates are minor in nature during a typical Toyota fashion. Up front, it gets a replacement front bumper with redesigned upper and lower grilles. The lower grille is obtainable in either a Black or Dark Grey finish, while the grille side ornament are often finished in Chrome or Silver. The side and rear profile remain unchanged apart from the introduction of a replacement set of alloy wheels which are available in two sizes: 17-inch and 18-inch.
On the within , while the layout remains largely unchanged, it gets a redesigned central console. Where within the pre-facelift model, the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system was placed below the central AC vents, the updated model gets a replacement floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other features on the facelifted Camry Hybrid remain almost like the pre-facelift model. It gets nine airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, rear parking sensors, JBL audio system , powered front seats, heads-up display, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, electrically adjustable steering, auto-dimming IRVM and a tyre pressure monitoring system. When launched in India, the facelifted Camry Hybrid is predicted to hold forward with an equivalent set of features along side a replacement touchscreen infotainment system.
Under the hood, things have remained unchanged. It continues to urge an equivalent 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled to an electrical motor. it’s a combined output of 218PS. Power is shipped to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.
With the facelift, the Camry Hybrid might get a small price hike. Currently, it’s priced from 39.02 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Camry Hybrid doesn’t have any direct rivals in India.
